QuizzyPop — Privacy Policy

QuizzyPop is a daily-learning app for school children (Nursery through Class 8) — a short quiz, a fact, and a bilingual (English/Hindi) story each day. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how it's handled. There are no ads, no user accounts, and no in-app purchases anywhere in QuizzyPop.

Information we collect

Automatically, through Google Firebase:

Analytics — general app-usage events (e.g. which screen was opened, how long a session lasted) and coarse device information (device model, OS version, country/region). This is standard, aggregate usage data — it does not identify who is using the app.
Crashlytics — automatic crash and error reports if something goes wrong, so problems can be fixed. These reports contain technical diagnostic information, not personal messages or content.
An anonymous device identifier — a random id issued by Firebase Anonymous Authentication when the app is first opened. It is not linked to a name, email, or any other personal information, and no sign-up or login is ever required.

Stored only on the device, never sent to us:

A child's profile — name, selected class, chosen language, and streak/progress history. This data stays in the app's local storage on the device itself. It is not uploaded, synced, or visible to us in any form.

Only if you choose to provide it, through the in-app "Give Feedback" form:

Name and email address — both entirely optional fields.
The feedback message itself.

This form is intended for a parent or guardian to report a problem or suggestion directly to the developer. It is never required to use any part of the app, and a child is never prompted or required to fill it in.

How this information is used

Analytics and Crashlytics data help us understand which parts of the app work well, fix bugs, and improve the daily learning content over time.
Feedback submissions (name, email, message) are read by the developer to respond to and act on the specific problem or suggestion raised — nothing more.
We do not use any of this information for advertising, and QuizzyPop does not show ads.

A note for parents

QuizzyPop is designed for children, but it does not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. A child's profile (name, class, streak) is stored only on the device and is never transmitted anywhere. The only place personal contact information (name, email) can ever be entered is the optional feedback form, which is intended for an adult to use on the child's behalf. If you believe your child has submitted personal information to us and you would like it removed, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or rent any information. The only third party involved is Google Firebase, which provides the Analytics, Crashlytics, Authentication, and database infrastructure described above. Firebase's own privacy policy governs how it processes data on our behalf.

Data retention

Analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase according to its standard retention settings. Feedback submissions are kept only as long as needed to review and act on them. A child's local profile data can be cleared at any time from within the app (Profile → Reset Progress), which permanently deletes it from the device.

Data security

Data in transit to Firebase is encrypted. Access to feedback submissions and analytics data is restricted to the app's developer.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
